Bolloré Transport & Logistics Côte d’Ivoire has announced the acquisition of its first driving simulator which will be made available to its Pan-African port training center (CFPP) located in Abidjan. The company thus demonstrates its desire to innovate in terms of training and to offer new teaching methods in line with the expectations of employees.
This multi-business simulator is the very first of its kind acquired by the CFPP. It offers employees the opportunity to complete their training by practicing on different types of machinery: quay gantries, park gantries, forklifts, mobile cranes, heavy goods vehicles, etc. It also promotes safe learning with quick handling of orders.
For trainers, the simulator will speed up the pace of training and reduce equipment downtime by 30%. It will also make it possible to vary work situations by taking into account the usual weather conditions (rain, wind, fog, etc.) that can affect maneuvers in the field.
“We are happy to introduce this driving simulator within the CFPP which will allow us to offer a new learning path. This virtual reality device brings real added value and offers many advantages by preparing learners as well as possible for all the scenarios they may encounter in the exercise of their professions,” said Maryam AÏDARA, Director of the Pan-African Port Training Center.
