AMCS ensures safety at the new construction site of Scandinavia’s largest hospital

AMCS technologies’ DCS 60 anticollision systems will ensure the safety of tower cranes constructing two additional buildings and an extension of more than 140,000 m2 at the Oslo University Hospitals. « Oslo Universitetssykehus » is now the largest hospital in Scandinavia as it combines two other university hospitals Ullevålhospitalet and Akerhospitalet.

Four Comansa cranes on the site are equipped with DCS 60 to ensure the safety of the machines and the environment. The three key functions are zoning to avoid forbidden zones of the jobsite and environment, anti-collision to avoid the collision between the machines and data logger.

As the Radiumhospitalet is being developed into a specialized oncology hospital, the new production site will provide an additional clinical building and a proton building. The construction of these two buildings should be completed by the end of 2024.
